The Ample Bass Upright v3.1.0 includes 9 different bass sounds, all of which have been sampled from the venerable Yamaha C Series upright basses. The samples cover a broad range of playing styles and articulations, including slaps, pops, pizzicato, mutes and dead strokes taken from both close miking and distant room mic-ing. In addition to the individual samples that comprise each sound library, you will find a set of presets for easy tweaking with a single knob-turn on a mixable control panel - one for each articulation! All the presets are pre-configured with tonal balances that suit modern productions but can be tweaked to suit your taste or specific requirements easily. Although the presets profiles can be tweaked manually by inserting a single reverb and compression plug-in, the Ample Bass Upright will also work nicely with our impulse buss (the equivalent of an analog mixing desk) and other production processors such as EQ, compression and even distortion! Not only does the Ample Bass Upright include 9 upright basses, but each one has been painstakingly sampled at both close and distant mic distances, using a variety of room mics (including classic ribbon mics) to get that real vintage sound. Although we started out with just 2 samples - one close and one far - we were so impressed by the quality of the samples we decided to keep going... ending up with 9 full-blown mic setups! The Ample Bass Upright is very simple to operate. As soon as the program launches and before you even hit a key, you will be presented with a control panel that allows you to mix and match any of the samples, using just a few knobs. And thanks to our unique sound layering system, these knobs will dynamically control the mix of several layers within each sample, resulting in a rich and organic sounding patch that is not only incredibly easy to create but sounds like it was sampled from a real upright bass! Smaller soft synths often suffer from poor performance on Macs - most notably poor CPU optimization. The Ample Bass Upright is no exception, but it does include a handy CPU management utility that gives you full control over the CPU load. Using the CPU manager, you can set-up multiple midi controllers in the preset that will respond in relation to the CPU load e.g. in a 'light' mode, your presets will use 70% of your available CPU power - fine for most systems - yet when the load increases, they will reduce to around 30%... and as the load increases further, they will reduce even more! You can also tune the Ample Bass to use your total available memory as a buffer - reducing peak CPU spikes and keeping performance stable. If you're looking for a bass synth that allows you to create amazing sounding basses and other instruments and sounds quickly and easily - the Ample Bass Upright is just for you!- You can also use our free Ample Bass Upright Lite app to control presets using touch screen gestures - it works with both iPhone and iPad, including Apple Pencil support! * No 'free' softsynths offer this much value. cfa1e77820
